Where exactly is the Condo located?  "Beach Splendor" is located at 3016 Scenic 98 East, 1/4 mile East of Henderson State Park,  less than one mile West of the Crab Trap Restaurant and about 1 Mile West of Destiny by the Sea.  If you drew a line due south towards the Gulf from the Bass Pro Shop at Destin Commons,  the line would just about cross our location.  We are about 7 miles East of the Destin Harbor and about 5 miles West of Sandestin Resort, centrally located to all the area has to offer.  It is a perfect location in Crystal Beach.  Crystal Beach has one of the "low density" areas of Destin with mostly single family residences and "low rise" condos.  It is also located near some of the best restaurants, shopping and entertainment in the area.   Click on the following link for an aerial view of our LOCATION

How old is Villa Coyaba?  Villa Coyaba was just completed in July 2007 and is the newest beach Condo project in the area.   It was constructed with extremely high standards with 8 " re-enforced concrete floors and walls, including 8" concrete walls between units.  It is beautifully appointed and features amenities such as granite countertops, marble floors, crown molding, 10 ft ceilings, stainless steel Viking appliances and much more.   

We have stayed at large condos that are very crowded; what is Villa Coyaba like?  Villa Coyaba is only 4 levels high with just 34 units, very small compared to the typical large high rise developments.  It is located in the prestigious and relatively quiet Crystal Beach area.  There are no crowded public beach areas near by such as those by Crab Trap, Pompano Joe's and Whale's Tail restaurants.

What is unique about Unit 209 compared to the other 33 units at Villa Coyaba?  Aren't they all the same? Actually, there is a dramatic difference between those located on the West end of the Building and the rest.  First of all, you have windows in all rooms, which not only brings in abundant natural light, it brings in fresh ocean breezes, the sounds of the surf and more dramatic gulf views.  Interior units do not have side windows and the balconies are closed with privacy walls on each side.  The units located on the East end of building (numbers starting with one 101, 201, 301 & 401) have the same windows as the West end but the views are obstructed by nearby Townhomes that are built further out toward the water.  The views on the West end (unit 108, 209, 309 & 408) have clear unobstructed views to the Southwest in addition to the South.  The West end of the building also has a much greater distance to the nearest building (Inn at Crystal Beach) than the units on the East end to the Townhomes.

Does the Condo have accommodations for babies?   Yes;  our Condo is equipped with one “Pack ‘N Carry” and one high chair.  An additional crib can be rented locally with delivery, set-up and pickup.

One of our guests is confined to a wheelchair or has limited mobility; is the Condo accessible?   There are two elevators from the parking garage that servic each level.  The pool, BBQ and picnic area as an accessible ramp as well. 

Are there restaurants and shops within walking distance?   There are restaurants within 1 block  and many restaurants and shops within 1 mile. Two of the best restaurants in the area, The Beach Walk Cafe, and Camille's Restaurant are within one block. The Beach Walk Cafe is open for lunch and fine dining.  Camille's Cafe is open for coffee and breakfast and Camille's Restaurant is open for Lunch and Fine Dining.  There are many restaurants, movie theatres and shopping shops within 1-3 miles by car.

 We do weekly minimum rentals on a Saturday Arrival/Departure basis.  Occassionally, we will make an exception in Fall or Winter.  

Are beach chairs and umbrellas provided?  We provide at no additional cost 6 beach chairs and 3 umbrellas for our guests that are set up and taken down each day (weather permitting) between March 1 and October 31.  Please note that these are provided at no cost by us, not by Villa Coyaba.  Not all rental units in Villa Coyaba provide this service free of charge.  So, check this out if you are shopping as it can be expensive to rent by the day.

What are the parking arrangements?  Each unit at Villa Coyaba is assigned to private parking spaces.  There are a limited number of visitor parking places as well.

Do we need to bring towels, soaps, kitchen utensils, etc?  Our condo is fully equipped with clean linens, towels, starter soaps, hair dryers and all of the kitchen utensils.  We do not provide beach towels.

Is there a BBQ grill?  Yes.  There are two Viking gas BBQ Grills in a picnic area located on the the Gulf Side near the pool area.

We have a small house trained family pet,  do you make exceptions in your NO PET policy? Although we understand that pets are often times important members of the family, there are no exceptions to our NO PET policy. 

What if we have a problem during our stay, is there someone local to call?  Yes, we will provide you contact information for our property manager who will address any issues that may come up during your stay.

Do we need to clean the Condo? No, the home will be cleaned prior to your arrival and after your departure.  We will provide a check-list of minor things to do prior to checking out and we simply ask that you treat our Condo the way you would treat your own home.

Where is the pool located and is it heated?   The pool occupies a portion of the lower terrace on the gulf side of the building.  It is heated during the late fall, winter and early spring months.   

How close to the Beach is Beach Splendor?  The beach is only about 70 ft from the Gulf Side of the condo building and accessed by a private, gated dune walkover.

What airport is most convenient to Destin?  This is a bit confusing, but here goes.  The name of the airport is Okaloosa Regional Airport , the airlines refer to it as Ft. Walton Beach Airport (even though it is not in Ft. Walton Beach and no one locally refers to it as Ft. Walton Beach Airport ).  Furthermore, the Airport Code used by the airlines and online reservation software is VPS which is an abbreviation for Valparaiso, FL where the airport is actually located.  The airport also shares runways with Eglin Air Force Base and Eglin is sometimes printed on some airline tickets. The good news is that it is located within a 35 minute drive to our homes.  The next best airport option is the airport in Panama City, FL (one hour away) and the third best option is in Pensacola, FL  (1 1/2 hours away).
