Cabo San Lucas was once a sleepy little Mexican village famous for its World Championship Blue Marlin fishing with private planes shuttiling anglers in from Southern California. The addition of an international airport in the early 1980’s helped fuel phenomenal growth and development while retaining its friendly charm making Cabo San Lucas a world class destination. Perfectly situated on famous Medano beach near the heart of Cabo San Lucas, Esplendor Del Cabo is within walking distance or a short water taxi ride to the center of town and lively marina area. While near the action, it offers quiet and privacy in the luxury gated development of Villa La Estancia.
Here are just a few of the things to do in Cabo San Lucas:
Golf - During the past 20 years, many golf courses have sprung up along the corridor between San Jose del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, together referred to as Los Cabos (or "the capes" in English). You can probably leave that rain gear back home as Cabo San Lucas receives only about 17 inches of rain per year.
Fishing - Cabo San Lucas is known as the "Marlin Capital of the World" and hosts the world’s richest marlin fishing tournament each October. With a large private charter fishing fleet and 650 species of marine life, Cabo San Lucas offers one of the best fishing destinations in the world.
Diving/Snorkeling - Jacques Cousteau and innumberabl underwater adventurers have described the Sea of Cortez as "The World"s Richest Sea". This is especially tru of the waters that caress the soiuthern tip of the Baja pennisula.
Nightlife - Some visitors to Cabo prefer to sleep in or and some prefer not to sleep at all. In addition to the many attractions during the day and evening, Cabo San Lucas is also the nightlife center of Southern Baja as the distinction between day and night is sometimes blurred.
Other Activities and Attractions - Visit this link to explore dining, shopping and many other activities and attractions in the Los Cabos area.
Some of our favorite relaxing excursions:
San Jose - Take a half hour drive by car or bus to San Jose del Cabo. This laidback town has all the charm and character of real Mexico with plenty of shops and restaurants.
Todos Santos - Take a one hour incredibly scenic drive or bus tour along the Pacific Ocean to Todos Santos, a beautiful authentic Mexican town filled with many local artisans and also famous for its surfing. After some negotiating with the local merchants or "hanging ten" in the Pacific surf, you can start "...living it up at the Hotel California..." with a cold cerveza or frozen margarita.
Sunset Sail - View magical sunsets while sailing around Lands End all the while viewing the plentiful and diverse marine life including grey whales, humpback whales, sea lions and dolphins. The best one in town is run by Captain Eduardo Padilla on a 37 Ft. Catamaran, the Rissalena. Eduardo does various other snorkeling and excursions tours.
Whether Cabo San Lucas, San Jose del Cabo or Todos Santos, you will find some of the friendliest and happiest people in the world in this splendid Baja paradise at Esplendor Del Cabo!
